Look, our troops are human beings and as such are bound to make a mistake now and again....HOWEVER, I believe that our troops are doing a great job at liberating a repressed country and I do not blame the Iraqi public for not wanting the troops to leave. I support our troops, I support our President and I pray to God every night that he keeps them ALL safe! God bless the USA!

comparable reaction I continuously ought to this guy's failure as a destiny chief of the unfastened international: he's an empty shirt. He can no longer shop the data so as. He has no plan for something. he alterations his concepts weekly. His purely real stance is to push us into Socialism. This guy is risky for u . s . a . of america. he will weaken us in the international and susceptible certainly would not equivalent secure.

Do you have a question?
The New York Times has stated that 80% of Iraqis are glad we got rid of Saddam too. The Democrats will only hear the news they want to hear... regardless of who reports it. The only difference is that if it was on FOX they'd claim it was a lie.

Didn't see a question but cheers to Brian Williams and NBC for reporting it. It seems out of character for them. Won't get much play, because it doesn't "sell" advertising, cater to a political point of view, or further an agenda. Cool for listing this. The truth is out there.

Damn liberal media, always trying to make Bush look good.
I might also point out that five days is hardly enough time to decide if all the enemy has been cleared out, or if they might just be hiding. I might also point out that despite being the safest place in Iraq (according to the general), they had to get back under cover (so what is it like in the dangerous places in Iraq). I might also point out that it is in the dangerous places in Iraq where everyone wants the American troops to leave, not the ones that are considered safe. This is hardly conclusive that Iraqis want us there at all.

If any of you on the left actually bothered to talk to a soldier or two - like I do regularly, whose been in Iraq you would know MOST do not want us to leave. EVEN THEY ARE SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE IF WE LEAVE, THEY DIE! Somehow the left is still too stupid to see that. Imagine that, an Iraqi is smarter than a liberal. No surprise.

Wrong. Read the article--he reported that a U.S. military officer, speaking on record, stated that the Iraqis want the U.S. troops to stay. On the record, a military officer has no choice but to say things like that, without being legally and officially stripped of command or worse. Now, it may be true (that Iraqi's want the U.S. troops to stay), but I'm not going to believe it until I hear it from the mouth of an average Iraqi (i.e., not a politician)...and really, not just one, but many.

Has Brian Williams talked to 100% of the Iraqis? 90%? 10%
What's his sample set?
I'm sure that some Iraqis don't want US troops to leave.
But how many must want the US to leave before we accept that fact and follow their wishes? 10% 50% 90% ?
And are we only counting the Iraqis who support the government that the US is trying to build, or do we count every Iraqi citizen? Even the ones that don't like us?
You can prove anything depending on your sample set.

Is there a question here?
Yes, Williams reported on the actual goings on over there. On MSNBC no less. Too bad they have such a small audience.
