Why do you think Bush wouldn't testify in the 9/11 Commission? And when he did, the stipulations were: Bush and Cheney would testify together, he and Cheney were not required to be under oath, and nothing would be made public.

Conservatives, I ask you this: If the roles were reversed and the Liberal president was doing exactly what Bush has been doing for the past 6 years, would you call for their impeachment?

I already know the answer so don't bother. The right needs to realize that just because Bush is part of their party doesn't mean he is always right. It's OK to disagree with people in your party. You come across as blabbering idiots trying to defend every little thing Bush has done. Stop using the Brittany Spears mentality of - "Support our president no matter what" - and open your eyes to what is really happening.

Have you bothered to read any of the federal court holdings that have confirmed Bush ordered actions in violation of federal laws?

There are numerous examples, going all the way up to the Supreme Court holdings in 2004 that confirmed Bush violated 18 USC 2441 (war crimes).

Even Bush's own attorneys have stipulated, in several federal cases, that federal criminal laws have been violated. Including 18 USC 2511 (illegal wiretapping), which is also a felony.

So, by any legal definition, there's no question that crimes have been committed. The only question is, can Bush assert an appropriate affirmative defense (inherent authority, justification, etc.) And that's an issue for trial.

not just committed.. but he has to get caught.. (or at least enough evidence to start the process) but the fact is.. there's a very large number of liberals out there.. the vast majority.. that don't actually care about trying to impeach him.. we just aren't vocal about it because ... well... why be vocal about it? there are so many other more important issues out there than explaining to the right that it's only a small % of the left that wants to impeach Bush as of oh.. say.. 6 years ago.

Well, i'm conservative, but no fan of the Chimpy in Chief. He has commited crimes already. He lied in the State of the Union Address about yellowcake from Niger, and they knew 8 months before the address it was false.
Cherry picking intelligence to help support his reasons for war might also be a crime, especially when they intelligence that said Iraq no longer had WMDs and chose to ignore it.
By passing the FISA courts, and allowing the FBI to spy on American Citizens is also being investigated.
And lets not forget Plamegate.
When will wannabe conservatives like yourself realize that #1 Bush is not conservative, and never has been, and #2, Chosing to support bush requires you turn your back on the very ideals that made conservatism great?

You do know that murder of innocent individuals (the innocent Iraqis, American troopers, people who are victims of mistaken identity in terrorist claims, but aren't allowed a trial to prove their innocence) is a crime. You do also know that torture is a crime, especially of innocent individuals (though it is also inclusive of the guilty as well). Lying under oath is considered a crime as well, Condi,Ashcroft,Gonzales,Rumsfeld,Cheney,Scooter,Rove (dang, that's a lot of lying under oath).

I think maybe it is Bush who might want some tutoring on how the Constitution works. Maybe we could go find a couple of sixth-graders to help out on that; I mean, you are going to want someone who is mature enough to handle Bush without making him feel like the child he is.

Crimes have been committed by Bush. Plenty of them. But is wouldn't be worth the effort anyway. You see, if he stays in office and continues to screw thing up, and he continues to get suport from the Republicans in Congress without question the Democrats are sure to win by a landslide in '08. So I say let him stay, let him play, let him screw up, January 20,2009 we sing Happy Days Are Here Again.
