Yes!
4-year AVERAGE: 102 catches, 1,397 yds, 10 TDs
Did you people see what he did the Seahawks this year? I'm not even a Rams fan. He was a one-man highlight reel.
All those who are preaching Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, Boldin, Fitzgerald... you are off the mark.
No one matches Holts consistency or freaky stats the last 4 years.
Harrison is the only one who can carry his jock. Smith is nice, but often injured. Chad Johnson disappears for weeks, and he is not even close statistically. Hines Ward? No way.
Holt is has been the hub of that offense for years, with all due respect to Jackson and Faulk before him.
Holt is putting up nothing short of the highest caliber, hall of fame numbers. Period.
The guy is never hurt, a professional, fast athletic. He matches any receiver in the NFL, pound for pound.
He is indeed the best right now. Harrison is next. After that, the debate begins...

It's funny to read the answers and not even see the only receiver with over 100 catches last year in this discussion.
Torry Holt is not the best receiver, but he's up there.
Steve Smith and Chad Johnson, like everyone has said, are the top two. I'll cut the others some slack and stay Boldin is in there too. But you can't leave out Andre Johnson. Ya know, he was the top WR selected in the Pro Bowl... Oh, and Marvin Harrison, he's a killer.
I'll say Torry Holt belongs in this group, too. He's highly consistant, and he trains his hands like no other. He catches 300-350 balls a day, and if he drops one, he takes the guy who throws them to dinner.

Torry Holt is up there and they do not throw all day. Stephen Jackson and 2300 yards from scrimmage, and had 800 receiving yards. So he had a good rushing season. Torry Holt is one of the one under-rated Receivers in the league, Chad Johnson and Harrison are the only ones that are worthy to be better than him.

Tory Holt is one of the best in recent years, though he is not best in the league. The Rams would have won as many games without him...Compared to Carolina and Steve Smith's worth to them is immeasurable. Marvin Harrison is getting a little long in the tooth to be included in the top five today. Unfortunately, Chad "Big Mouth" Johnson is probably second behind Smith, Then Hol, Ward, & Bolden.

Not with Marc Bulger
with a decent QB...maybe
hers how i put the top 5:
1.) T. Owens, just because hes good when hes not being stupid
2.) M. Harrison, look at his QB
3.) H. Ward, look at his team (its BALLIN)
4.) T. Holt, okay, the man is good, ill give him that...
5.) C. Johnson, he's like 7-11, always open (thats what his myspace says according to my little bro)
Honorable mentions:
R. Bush, and the only decent RB-WR in the league
P. Burress, former Steeler
M. Colston, where is he from?!?!? leads the Saints in TD receptions and he went in the 7th round!!!!
L. Fitzgerald, before last season he had similar numbers to Jerry Rice after Rice's first two seasons.
D. Jackson, the man has speed. Enough said.
if you dont think this is a good list, then youll know why i lose at Fantasy Football
running backs are my strength; i had a rotation of R. Bush, E. James, R. Johnson, and T. Henry last year...
my other team had L. Johnson, R. Bush, and the guy on the redskins not named Clinton Portis

To Shotgun:
Reggie Bush the only decent RB/WR combo??
You must have forgotten about LT making 100 receptions his rookie year....how many did Bush have???
You ever hear of a man named Steven Jackson, probably not. And if you think RB's are you speciality in Fantasy Football, no wonder you lost. That is the worse rotation I can think of.
Although Torry Holt isn't in the top 3 in the league, I refuse to say anything bad about him, he is a player that defines the sport.
Top 5
Marvin Harrison
Chad Johnson
Hines Ward
Roy Willaims
Larry Fitzgerald

Ummm...no. Where is this Ram bandwagon coming from? He is in a 4 way tie for 3rd in TDs, 8th in yards, 4th in receptions, and...of all the other top receivers, he's the only one on the team who didn't have a tandem receiver hogging his TDs. The closest person to Torry Holt is Bruce with 3 TDs. Chad Johnson had TJ with 9, Harrison had Wayne with 9, Wayne had Harrison with 12. So...no...not Holt.

Nope. Marvin Harrison is so vastly superior to Holt on so many levels that, even if Holt were better than everyone else in the league, Harrison would be in a class all by himself.

You can argue that b/c of his consistency, but you cant knock Chad Johnson, old reliable Marvin Harrison, Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin and Larry Fitzgerald. But I would have to go with Chad or Anquan. Holt is a game breaker and can fly out of routes, but he is sooo underappreciated that folk dont talk about him like Chad. But u can argue that Tory Holt is the best in the NFL...
