For the U.S.A - undeclared naval war with France in early 1800s, war with Barbary Pirates, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, SPanish-American War, War of Phillipine Insurrection and various and sundry Indian Wars.

For the world - too many to count

Good grief I hope you don't mean all over the world. Well, Mexico and Texas had a brawl over land. The war of 1812, the war between the states, put me in WEST virginia-didn't expect that one. It is said to be over slavery but it was over land and money. It hasn't changed much since then. Course that was after they had killed most of the Indian tribes. (Don't tell anyone where I am, I'm cherokee and I am in the witness protection program.) Sweetum's look this stuff up on the net yourself you'll understand it so much better.
