IS there a difference? I just bought some yarn today because I thought it was pretty. . .it says it's "chunky" weight. I'm relatively new to knitting, so I haven't heard of this one before. Can chunky weight yarn be used in patterns that call for bulky weight? Thanks in advance!

It should be OK... they are very close. If you are doing a blanket or afghan that the finished size doesn't matter then you will be OK. The finished size just might turn out a little bigger or smaller then the pattern says. If you are doing a garment (sweater, vest, etc) do a gauge swatch first and measure to see if it will turn out the same. According to Lion Brand Yarn, bulky and chunky are the same, I just looked, but it with a different brand it might be different.
