Hi, i just bought a new laptop, and can't find a way to type any of those: àáçúùòóñãõ. Is there a way to do so?

To add to Cirric's answer, look in the lower right corner, you'll see the shortcut to each character to do this from the keyboard (like Alt 100). If you only need a few characters all the time, it's easier to memorize them (or write them on a post-it).

Hi. Go to "Start> Accessories> System tools> Character map>". If your characters are there just copy and paste into a document for later use.

I use clipboard express and paste them from there.
