June 6, 1944 D Day, allies attact Natzi Germany
August 6, 1945 Hiroshima, America drops first Atomic bomb, start of atomic age, end of WWII.
June 25, 1950 Korean War starts, the beggining of the cold war.
July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong took a step out of the Apollo 11 lunar craft onto the moon.
April 26, 1986 Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, Ukraine, blew up, first major nuclear accident to effect the world, end of the nuclear age, start of environtmentalism on government agenda.
November 9, 1989. The Berlin Wall is pulled down, ending the Communist era in Eastern Europe and the Cold War.
