its the day after i got my cartilage pierced, i remembered to apply alcohol in the morning and before i went to bed yesturday.

as i look at it now it's pink and it hurts when i accidently touch it.
i have long hair and it gets caught once a while. im currently watching tv, and i feel a slight headache.
There is no bump or really red in colour,
i admit i didnt get it dont by a professional, it was also done by a gun.
by the way, the pircing is like a helix piercing but it is not done by a circular ear ring.
am i getting an infection? should i take the piecing out??

what you need to do is sea salt and/or chamomile soaks. your piercer should have let you know about this. it really helps it heal. and, do not go see a regular dr. they do not specialize in piercings & will just tell you to take it out, even if that is not even the best thing to do in the situation. if after doing the soaks, you still have soreness, go see your piercer. it's always easier to deal with problems when they are caught early.

Glad that you acknowledge your idiocy for getting a piercing done with a gun. Not smart. And you may have to suffer those consequences for the rest of your life if you shattered your cartilidge, got a disease, etc.

The bump is bad, but not the end of the world. You'll want to STOP cleaning with alcohol and not use peroxide either. Get some Dial liquid soap and start cleaning with that 1-2 times a day. Keep your hair away from your piercing. Change your pillow cases often. Get some sea salt and do warm sea salt soaks for about 10 minutes everyday.

Do not take it out until it is healed. Doing so will just close up the skin around the piercing and not let the puss drain out. It needs to get out. if not, your infection will just last a lot longer.

its not infected but just make sure you get a cleanser for your ear go to a claires they sell them and make sure you do what it says trust me i got my ears pierced a month ago and i had that disinfectent stuff for your ears and it said to clean them 3 times a day for 6 weeks and i did at first and it was read and would hurt just like yours does but eventually it went away and i stopped using it and guess what this morning i woke up with an earache and i had puss coming out of my pierced ear one of them but it was caused i stopped cleaning it so make sure you clean it every day and night til it heals. sorry for the nasty details good luck

Oooooh, rachel - not too bright, are we?
Look girl, here's a quarter, buy a clue: go see a real, honest-to-God professional doctor (an M.D. or a D.O.) and get the straight facts on your health...okay?

That's normal.
It hurts for about a month and then it stops.
If you are really paranoid about it..go to your piercer and make sure.
