the brave Conservatives and Leonidas Bush? Xerxes obviousy represents John Edwards, pretty and flashy with a god-complex, but in the end, riding on the backs of the people. I think, then, Ephialtes represents the US Liberals. Deformed, angry, and determined to destory their leader, even if it means betraying their country.

Opinions?

Of course, Michael Moore is the big fat guy with blades on his hands and John Kerry is the large guy that the Immortals brought in. The Immortals themselves represent the US media.

Settle down everyone. I think he is just having a little fun with a mental exercise. Shaking the tree to see what falls out. I haven't seen the movie yet, so I don't know who I would attrib them to. I was thinking though, based on recent events in Somalia, maybe the Spartans are the Ethiopians (or was that the Kenyans, I forget)

The Spartans would be those who stand out there in battle killing and dying for an unappreciative government. I guess they would be those fighting transnational threats on the front lines, be they elite units, covert operatives, and private operators on the front lines of the war. Certainly not Bush and the neo-cons, they're the people sitting around talking and filling their pockets with the God-King Xerxes' gold.

WHY DO YOU READ SO MUCH INTO A MOVIE. IT'S JUST A MOVIE WITH NO HIDDEN MESSAGES. IT'S A FICTION MOVIE BASED ON A MYTHICAL BATTLE. THATS ALL IT IS.
