hey Ive been looking into the topic myself I'm level 49 and did every single member quest and have a full rune set. but i hate to say that the only real mmorpgs that you can play with other people are text based. that's why rune scape is so darn popular. i do know of some games that you have to install but not download. try ijji.com and if that doesn't work i would say for you to just buy a rune scape membership over the phone or something. if you do find anything worth while please tell me.

Guild Wars is probable between the wonderful MMORPGs for PvP, yet my popular so a techniques is probable WoW. in my opinion the exciting of PVP in mmo is killing somebody and it skill something, you're making them lose xp or products or something. I hate meaningless pvp in mmorpgs

Guildwars is free after you purchase the game. They have add ons that you may need to buy as well.
Try out D&D online too - I think you can get a 10-14 free trial subscription to see if you like it.
