I want to buy a computer. I want to have a fast one for downloading music. I don't plan on playing elaborate games on it. I would play The Sims on it but thats it. I want to buy it new and at a good price. Can anyone give me advice on how to buy a computer. Thanks

If you are going to download lots of music, you want one with plenty of storage and memory as well as a fast processor. I would suggest at least 512MB of memory and 40-60GB of storage and a good ISP. (internet service provider). Dell has desktops with the above for about 350.00.

Hi. Downloading music is a function of your internet connection speed. As long as the PC has a NIC (network interface card) the speed should be good. But I would plan for the future and get the best one you can afford.

well you need a good Internet Service Provider to have a fast download not a good computer, Mac can't play sims so don't get Mac

Get the one you can afford. A Mac running OS X would be great as it will save you all the hassle you get with Microsoft Windows and its viruses, spyware, trojans, adware, defragging, etc, etc.
