In most sports I would say that a college team could never ever beat a pro team (for example, Florida could play the raiders 100 times and never beat them once).

but i think a great college basketball team could beat a terrible nba team 1 or 2 times out of ten games. there is no way they could win a series against the grizzlies, but i think north carolina or kansas could win about 20% of the time against a bad nba team, because they would play better defense and the talent level wouldnt be as drastically uneven as people will claim.

as far as the all american team........yes they could beat the grizzlies more than 20% of the time. kevin durant would be scoring 30 a game in the nba if he started tommorow night! for sure the all american team can compete with any lower of the nba teams. you can bet on that. we arent talking about football here. the only thing to talk about is skill level. you cant say their bodies cant handle banging around, because the college game is far more intense/physical than the nba. the nba lacks defense and intensity.

another major factor to consider is the main problem with bad nba teams is they are young and they lack cohesiveness. the same would be true for an all american team because they have never played together, so they would absolutely be able to compete. a good college team has great chemistry and cohesiveness, so they too could compete

My old high school marching band could beat the Memphis Grizzlies..

And I'm still paying for the stupid stadium we didn't need to build so that we could have the rest of the country pointing and laughing their heads off at how much our team blows.

Gasol and a few other players are absolute gems, but they have absolutely no support from their overpaid teammates.

No. I don't even think the Division-1 All American team could beat the Grizzlies. Durant, Tucker, Noah, Horford, etc... are just too young and not strong enough to bang with men. These guys are professionals and would run the floor with the college kids.

I would say that if they did a game between the NCAA Champions vs the Grizzles, it would be very interesting!!

While it would seem to be possible, I think the pros would die to win that game in order to save whatever pride they have as humans.
