The storylines are planned, written by creative writers and all that.

The things they do in the ring they have trained so it's not supposed to hurt AS MUCH as it looks like, but they still get injured time from time. People have done anything from pulling a muscle to breaking their neck.

So, REAL, nah, not really. But not all fake either.

And unlike what many people think, the wrestlers do not use steroids, they actually have really strict rules to this (And use a outside company to supervise this) and people get suspended if caught using any kind of drug that hasn't been prescribed by a doctor for good medical reasons.

Depends on what you mean by real. Is it a real organization and company? Yes. Do the athletes actually throw each other around and get hurt? Yes. Is what you are watching "real" as in not scripted? No. Before each match, the two competitors get together and figure out how the match will flow, who will win, will anyone else be involved, etc. Haven't you ever wondered why a wrestler looks to be on his last legs, then pulls off an incredible victory? There's a script, and it's scripted like that to get you to watch. After the match, I'd say that no matter who "hates" who in the ring, they all get along backstage. Otherwise, you'd see incidents of fights breaking out backstage when they're not supposed to. So, to sum it up, the WWE is basically a soap opera with tights and submission holds.

Pro-wrestling is not real and has never been. The best way to explain wrestler are athletic actors/actresses. They train hard and practice their art form.

Most the moves are real. You can knock someone out with a sleep hold, break legs with a figure-four or injure someone's neck or spine with a Germen suplex or pile driver (this is what injured Stone Cold when it was done to him by the late Own Hart)

I think there are some wrestlers who take steriods. John Cena and Babtista among others. There is no way a wrestler is skinny on minute and large and cut the next. The best way to tell (of what I heard) is look at their haircuts. One side effect of steriod is foreheads sticking out. The best to hide this is to give them crewcuts.

The question is: If a top star like John Cena is caught taking steriods, would Vince and the WWE suspend him while he is drawing top money?

Yeah Its real. It's staged but it doesn't change the fact
of the real risks they take every week and the reality that
their on the road for more than 70% of the year and rarely
get time to relax and kick it with their families. Being In
the WWE is very controversial and like I said, It's staged but very much real.

the only thing thats not real in wrestling is the
drama ... you know freinds /enemys all of that stuff
is story lined. but so is the moves the wrestlers do
and what I mean by that is even the referee knows who
the winnier is going to be even before the match happens.
how do I know this? because I am a referee for a
small pro wrestling company. you really cant say its fake
eather because its real people doing real stunts for a real
crowed.. the only thing in life thats fake is cartoons...
what I am trying to say is that we try to keep the idea that
pro wrestling is real to help draw crowds....
