I am the Disney Buff my friend above was talking about... I just actually called Disney and asked them this question myself. There wasn't just one ride that opened first there was a quite a few. Some of them I took note of were the Jungle Cruise, the Railroad, Peter Pan, Cinderella's Royal Carousel, Dumbo the Elephant, The Mad Hatters Tea Party, The Skyway, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Its a Small World, Snow White's Scary Adventures, The Haunted Mansion, The Hall of Presidents and The Grand Prix Race Way. I don't know if these are all true, but its what the Disney employees listed off to me. Hope this helps!!!

The oldest Disney-made rides that were in operation when the park opened are The Carousel of Progress and It's a Small World. Those rides debuted at the 1964 World's Fair in New York.

The first ride that was built at and debuted at WDW before debuting at any other location was Space Mountain. It opened in 1975.

The oldest ride in the Magic Kingdom Park is actually Cinderella's Golden Carrousel.
Read on:
Originally built by the Philadelphia Tobaggan Company in 1917 and given the name "Liberty." It carried an elaborate patriotic scheme of red, white, and blue shields and carved figures of Miss Liberty and symbolized the patriotism of the World War I era. It was originally built for the Detroit Palace Garden Park and was returned to its Philadelphia birthplace for rehabilitiation in 1928. The refurbished carrousel began a 39 year reign at the Olympic Park in Maplewood, New Jersey. As a result of its many years of operation and service, the carrousel's ornate carvings gradually disappeared under layers of lacquer.

When the Maplewood Park closed in 1967, Disney scouts acquired the antique masterpiece and discovered the detailed and artistic designs beneath all of the paint. Nearly all of the original wood-working parts were replaced with metal, but the horses and decorations were saved along with the band organ from one of Italy's most famous factories.

Both the Carousel of Progress and It's A Small World made their debut at the 1964-65 New York World's Fair. Disney's Magic Kingdom first opened its doors on October 1, 1971, adult admission cost $3.50.

It was the Haunted Mansion. The Haunted Mansion was to be included in WDW, so when things were made for the HM in Disneyland, two of everything was made. At Florida, it was a matter of installing it and putting it together, so the ride was complete and operational by April of 1971, making it one of the fastest projects in Disney history to be built, and making it wait to be used (at least by the general public) a full 6 months before Walt Disney World opened in October of that same year.

Not sure, I just called my best friend, he's a Disney buff and he said it was one of the smaller rides. Maybe Peter Pan or It's a Small World. Hope this helps.
