I have been made fun of for my red hair,*which now always gets complimented * but at a young age I mean how kids are making fun of it...
and then freckles and then somewhat pale skin.

I'm not a redhead but look like I should be...I have pale skin with freckles and I used to get made fun of a lot for being pale and for having freckles..don't let those ppl get you down. Jim Morrison, a rock star, lead singer of 60s band The Doors, loved redheads (natural ones preferably) and wouldn't date anything else but redheads. Redheads can be very beautiful, I've only seen a few natural redheads and they are often very striking. There are pretty blondes, pretty brunettes, and pretty redheads, just as there are ugly ones. But some beautiful redheads (natural redheads) would be Nicole Kidman, fanmous 40s actress Rita Hayworth, Pamela Courson (Jim Morrison's girlfriend, you can look her up under yahoo images if you're curious), Meg Ryan (she's naturally a redhead), and the girl from The Devil's Advocate who played Keanu Reeves' character's sister, whom he was in love with (didn't know that was his sister), Marcia Cross from Desperate Housewives, singer Sara MacLachlan, etc. The reason why it seems like there are not as many famous redheads as blondes or brunettes is because they are rare. But a lot of guys like rarity and are very fascinated by red hair.

Jealously? Kids are mean and will pick on the different one. The redhead, the fat kid, the one with glasses, freckles or anything else different. I am not sure what makes them do this, pack mentality? Know that adults are different and you have something others try to achieve and cannot, naturally occurring redhead. You are rare and unique, enjoy it girl! Bet those boys are all grown up and wish they hadn't been so mean!

Because kids are kids, they tend to "make fun" of things which they consider "different"... I too was picked on for having freckles and then my grandma decided to give me a perm (very bad idea) i was made fun of for weeks, they used to call me Annie and I have brown hair....
kids are mean, we should know afterall we used to be one....

The local folklore is that redheads are "hot-headed". That's based on the theory that
red is like angry, or passionate. I like the
latter description(big grin).

I think women with red-hair are very unique. Just celebrate your beauty!! I think you stand out in a crowd....just don't forget your personality too!
I HAVE heard that some people think red-heads have bad tempers. Isn't that STUPID?

hey im a blonde and i get made fun of too. yknow the dumb blonde jokes. its so freakin annoying. im not against them. its probably cuz thier jealous of your unique color.
