The mess was Iraq before the war. Bush will stay the course, he is a very brave man. But, the next president will fall to the chastisement of lay people (non-military) and withdraw troops, which in turn will cause history to repeat itself. Bush will be at home praying as a Christian that all peoples across the earth will have their time in peace. And a nuke will hit nearby. China? Iran? Who? Give em an inch and they'll take a mile, just like children

Never! He's already hinted that the next president or the one after that or the one after that will have to. He's a lame duck. It doesn't benefit him any at all if he ends it....so, he feels, why bother?

Not if the democrats have anything to do with it. They keep trying to distract him from it and the more they distract him the longer it's going to move on.
