for me i gotta say Britney Spears, the times when she wanted to show the world that she is opening up from her shell by songs like "overprotected" "stronger" and "i'm a slave for you"(not really this song though) so her past songs about growing up and seeking independence cuz that's how i feel right now at 16 i feel overprotected and not being able to go out there to experience and enjoy.. also "pieces" by Sum41
