Rocky Marciano in my opinion followed by Ali, Tyson would or should have been up there with them if he hadnt gone off the rails so much. But he was under a lot more pressure than the other two that I have chosen.

What about some of the bare knuckle fighters such as O'Sullivan now that was fighting......bloody and awful. Most fought to provide food for their families during the times of famine and the depression.

However of modern times it has to be Cassius Clay AKA Muhammed Ali.

Difficult question - depends what you are judging on.
But I would be hard pressed to decide between Jack Dempsey and Casius Clay - both for different reasons.
Barry McGuiggan - the Irish leprechaun - deserves a mention for pure guts.
