by not having sex

There's no surefire way to prevent pregnancy naturally, if by "natural" you are referring to using no birth control method whatsoever. However, if it's only the chemical types of birth control that you're against using, then you have several other options you could explore: Condoms (male and/or female), the diaphragm, etc. If you're sure you want to avoid pregnancy for a couple of years, you could also consider getting an IUD (intrauterine device). You should really talk to your ob/gyn about this, or go to/call a planned parenthood clinic (they have a lot of info on birth control methods).

From your other questions, I'm assuming you're married. The following advice is if you're married: Well, what is it about "birth control" that you want to avoid? I wouldn't use any chemical form of "birth control" and I also wouldn't use anything that prevent implantation.

Condoms don't prevent implantation, they help prevent conception. You can also do "natural family planning", basically, you don't have sex when you're supposed to be fertile. Good luck. My husband in the end got a vasectomy.

If you aren't married: Don't have sex.

Well if you don't want to use any type of birth control not even condoms or inserting a loop then I guess the only thing you can do is go by the calendar. Avoid intercourse 3 days before and after ovulation. This is never totally safe though so good luck.

Like what everyone is saying . . . use the calendar method. but for me it's weird. I am also not on birth control but I'm not preventing not getting prego. I kind of want to be but I dont have insurance. what you can do is get them ovulation things and try to avoid them days that it says that you ovulate. and if you suspect that you are pregnant take the plan b pill. but it's all up to the person. everyone is different! like some people can start getting prego within a month of getting off the shot and some it takes up to a year or even longer!

All that I can say is be careful!

Natural Family Planning taught by the Couple to Couple League is 99% effective. Google Natural Family Planning and find an instructor in your area. You chart your temperature every morning and by learning the patterns you know the exact day you ovulate. You abstain from sex for a couple days to avoid pregnancy. It is also very effective if you are trying to get pregnant. You have sex on the day you ovulate. Birth control can cause abortions. You can still get pregnant on it but then your body rejects the baby. It is also not natural or good for your health to pump yourself full of unnecessary hormones.

You can use the calendar method but its really not advised as not all women ovulate at the same rate or even the same time every month so when you think it is safe, it actually might not be. Also theres the pull out method but again this isnt a very good idea either. The only 100% safe was to prevent pregnancy is not to have sex, I guess this is natural.

Don't be naive...use birth control. The only way not to get preggio is to pull out but that doesn't always work and guys hate it, that's why a lot of girls get pregnant and then get mad when everyone judges them for having an abortion. If you don't want kids take the damn pill.

I would do some research on NFP- Natural family planning. If you were going to do this you would have to take your bbt (body basal temperature) every morning before getting out of bed at almost exactly the same time. You can chart this on a computer program or find abook to help you with it. I tried this when I was trying to actually get pregnant, but found it to demanding so I stopped but have heard that it works great if you have a regular cycle and can be disaplined to do it properly.

I call it the reverse order method. fondle first, do it next, then continue without doing it, fondle till you climax. With a little bit of practice you could start getting satisfied. Its a small experiment.

I agree there's nothing like the real thing in the right place at the right time, but to win something you have to lose something.
Birth control is the only Win-Win way...

The Catholic Church recommends the Natural Family Planning method. I think its also called the rhythm method. You could look into that. Or don't have sex 14 days after the start of your period and wait 3-4 days. To be safe you might extend that.
