My wife and I have been ttc for about 8 months now. (I'm the one being AI) If your wife is going through menopause already, have you thought about how long it may take her to conceive? I have a friend who is 48 and was already starting to go through menopause and she and her husband couldn't get preg. They adopted a snowflake baby (embryo) She had 3 implanted and 1 attached. She is now expecting in 3 weeks. She said it was A Lot cheaper to do that than take her own eggs and husband's sperm and put them together.
I hope it works out for the best either way. And pay no mind the the closed minded people who responded. My wife and I live in the B Belt too, and have a strong and supporting church that accepts us. Open hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors. At UMC. God Bless!

Go to a fertility specialist. These days, a child can be born involving three people: one guy to donate the sperm, one woman to donate the egg, and another woman to carry the baby to term. The two of you can combine this anyway that is medically feasible. You can get a guy that you know. Or you can go get sperms donated. The fertility center can help. You can just use IUI (intrauterine insemination). You or your partner can donate the egg. Your partner could carry the baby to term Or you can get a gestational surrogate to carry the baby to term. Or you can get yet another woman to donate the egg. Really, talk to a fertility specialist and medically assess what's feasible for you.
The downside is that all this medical procedure can cost a lot. I really hope that you have medical insurance that covers this. A lot of couples that want babies this way cannot afford it.

I'm guessing artifical insemination would not work with her eggs b/c when a woman's FSH levels go up (the start of menopause) it indicates decreased egg quality. If her FSH was high enough to put her into early menopause, it very likely means her eggs would not be able to be fertilized. You still have plenty of options, though!
Are you still pretty young? If so, you could do IVF using your eggs and donor sperm. Your partner could be put on hormones to make her uterus a hopsitable environment again, and the embryos could be put back into her. This way, you wouldn't have to worry about carrying the baby, but your eggs could still be used since hers can't.
If your eggs are not an option, you could use an egg donor and sperm donor, and do IVF to put the embies back in your partner.
Doing the IVF with donor sperm and your eggs in your partner would probably cost anywhere from $10,000 to $16,000 per cycle, depending on what clinic you go to. I would imagine prices in AL are good, as the clinics in the South and Midwest tend to be cheaper. IVF with donor sperm and donor eggs is considerably more expensive.
Good luck with your journey to become parents. I'm sorry it hasn't been an easier one for you.

well i dont really know much where artificial inseminations are concern but since concieving a child seem so hard for both you guys why not just adopt a baby or two. do you have to do it in the state that you live in? infact why not move to another state where its acceptable and easier if both of you are so "desparate"

You people make me sick!!!!!!! Get off your bible thumping high horse and treat people as equals. Pieces of ****!!!!!
Do not listen to these people, they are beyond ignorant and will be judged by god for their judge mental ways. I think 30 is very young to be going through menopause. I would go see as fertility specialist. Good luck to you.

I believe if you want a child you should be with a man. Its against the bible and you should consider the hard life style your child would have to live. Personally I dont believe homosexual couples should be married let alone raise children since obviously they wernt raised the right way to begin with.
