My kids are 10 months apart and the only side effect I could really see was this. I had high blood pressure with my first pg towards the end, went down then went back up in the middle of my pg with the second one. My BP stayed up for almost 2 years after the second kid. The docs all said it was because my body didn't have the chance to rest. Now it's just fine and they are 6 & 7.
Another thing I just thought of was people were always asking if they were twins, now that they are old enough to understand this, it really annoys them because they know they're not and they can't get why people don't just understand this, lol

My two boys will be 15/16 months apart. I'm not sure exactly because they will be taking this one earlier - because he's so big already.

We have had no problems or complications - it's been really great. One huge positive is that time goes by so quickly I can hardly believe I'm 24 weeks already!! The first time I was just waiting for x, y, or z to happen and reading and waiting for the little one. Now, I'm busy chasing him around the house :))

I've seen others post about having autism. But, my doctor told me that study is useless. Useless because the only factor the study considered was how far apart the children were. It didn't consider any other possible risk factors - even like if someone else in their family had it. He told me I'm young (29) and not worry about that stuff at all. In fact, he wanted me to start trying when ds was 6 months old, *ha*.

But, I guess God had plans and blessed us with two little ones close in age.

Yes, I am pregnant with my 3rd child they will all be 18 months apart, the 2nd one I had quite a bit of pressure pain nothing too severe. This one is the 3rd at only 3 weeks I was in a ton of pain (down there) already, now I am 17 weeks and can only do things in 30 min intervals I cannot work. The baby is in no danger as long as I take it easy but if we decide to have another one I'll definitely wait at least 2 years to get pregnant again! But I've heard of some people who have no problems everybodies bodies are different, I may have had it a little rough you might not! It's always worth it in the end!! Good Luck!

My girls are 19 months apart, then there's 25 months between the next two. The only side effect I have is being insanely busy. I'd do again in an INSTANT. They are now 6,4,2 and I love it! I also have a great 9 yr old.

My son was born July 16 06..and I`m due August 3 07!! So that`s a year and three weeks...No side affects though..Except being really tired in the first trimester.. My doctor is not worried one bit, she just told me to eat well and make sure to get enough sleep..

My oldest two are 2 minutes apart, close enough? Ha ha ha, kidding. Ok, yes, so my twins and this singleton will be close in age (less than 2 years). Yes, I am nuts, 3 kids under the age of two. My doc never mentioned any possible problems. Best of luck.

I can't really answer this for myself, but my MIL had her babies 10 months apart (hubby was the 2nd), and he was her smallest child at just a little over 6lbs full-term. On the converse, she said she was so busy chasing after the two youngsters, she was at her very, very thinnest of her life! I guess it goes both ways....

I think it might be a good idea to let your body recuperate before having your next baby but mine are 16 months apart and I am fine. My sister and I are 14 months apart and my mother is fine.
