Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton- The loss of a child hurts like hell and for Clapton to be able to actually put the pain into song format is overwhelming.

Thanks for my child by Cheryl Pepsi Reiley- The anthem of the single mother. Regardless of if the man stays in her life or not she still has a beautiful gift from God.

A Friend by the Winans- Of course the friend is Jesus. The song lays it down about how frineds can come and go but the Love from Jesus will always be there.

Hallelujah sung by Buckley (Jeff? Or David? Sorry, can't remember). If you go online, you find even more verses that make it even more beautiful. I love that song! It is about so many things, and I have heard it sung everywhere from funerals to various situations on television. It is applicable to manymany life situations.

easily. the one song that can make me cry almost on cue is 'one of these things first' by nick drake. it makes me cry because it is the one song that most perfectly demonstrates nick drake's ability to turn the bleak nature of his existence into something so profoundly beautiful that you have to wonder what kind of person he was. at the same time, you must mourn the loss of such a beautiful man who, on one hand, left us too early, but, on the other hand, was almost too grand and brilliant for this vapid and trivial existence.

"My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. It sums up everything I want for my children's future. I actually almost had to pull the car over the first several of times I heard it to dry my eyes.
