Now 2 is coming out and I need to know if I should watch the first one.....I'm not fond of zombie movies.

Basically and it's not even a very good one. They aren't technically zombies, they are some kind of mutants. If you want to watch a better version of these kinds of movies just watch the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

The Hills Have Eyes is about a small town that was the place for testing nuclear bombs and they've mutated into radioactive mutants that eat people. It's ghastly. The remake of the first one was the most horrendous movie I've ever seen. I loved Saw, Saw 2, Saw 3, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and all the other lame horror movies. But this one gave me nightmares. Awful. Just awful.

Friends don't let friends watch remakes - if you're gonna do "Hills," go for the original. It's not a zombie movie per se; it's more closely related to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and shares the same brutal, take-no-prisoners mentality that is common to films made just prior to the slasher-era '80s. The remake is a just a pale imitation.

In the original 'better' The Hills Have Eyes, only Papa Jupiter's mother was exposed to radiation. This caused him to be born a disfigured mutant. Then he hooked up with a 'wild mountain girl' and they had a bunch of kids that were also mutated because it was passed down from their father's DNA. The first original movie is cult classic EXCELLENT. The original Part 2 was very very bad. The remake of the original was 'just okay' in comparison. However, EVERYTHING about the NEW Part 2 promises to put the first remake to shame! And I think it will. I just hope Michael Berryman (Pluto) is healthy enough this round to be in the newest one. He was the only character in the original that DIDN'T need makeup to look mutated...LOL! Can't wait :-)

Um yea, deffinetly. Not a zombie movie but one of those gory movies where people get caught and someone or something tries to kill them...just like Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Wolf Creek, Silent Hill (kinda) and some others..idk..they are all just like that..boringgg.

that movie is not about zombies at all. Its about "sand people" who are there from a nuclear bomb and yeah they are freakin crazy. Its super gory if you like that kind of stuff. But I do and the stuff in that one was a bit much to take in at times.

they are not zombies..they are people from a small town that is isolated because they were exposed by nuclear radiation. i just watched the first last week...

they aren't zombies. they have been exposed to radiation and are all deformed and freaky. they didn't die and come back to life. it was a good movie but i don't know if the second one will be as good. maybe.

it has like humas that was born with looking weird and crazyand humans they was goingon vaction and the stopped to get gas ad this man told them to take the dirt rode and it was the wrong way he lead them to the monsters
