Phosphorus 32 has 1 more neutron than Phosphorus 31
the name of an element is dependant on how many protons you have if the # of protons changes you have a different element. for this reason the # of neutrons is normally the same as the # of protons, but when its not they write the atomic weight of the element so you know how many neutrons the element has

Since there is a difference of 1 neutron in the nucleus, the atoms will have a different mass by 1, also.
