I'm from Italy and have been offered to work as a switchboard operator in a hotel just out of London.
Do you think it's worth it?they also give me a live-in accommodation.
I don't know what to do but must say at present i cannot find employment here in northern italy.
Thanks for any kind advice.

It's a great opportunity and you don't seem to have anything keeping you in Italy (especially if you're not getting a job there!)

If you hate it but love London, you can find a new job (as an EU citizen you don't have to worry about a work permit).

If you hate London but love the job, you will have the right experience to get a similar job in Italy.

If you hate all of it you can go home.

If you love it - well, then there's nothing to worry about.

Good luck!

Ask yourself WHY why has no one over here shown interest how did the job come to your notice ????

It needs looking into such things as living costs here wages hour you will be expected to work
This type of employment is not normally well paid so is normally aimed at migrant workers

It may be better than what you have in Italy but do your checks before you commit yourself

I think if you want to come to england then thats a good way of doing it. but i have lived in France and Spain and belive me life in the UK is not as nice as it is in europe. Italy is a great place. Its a much better way of life then that in the UK

I would say do it! You may find you love it. You may hate it and leave after a few months. If nothing else you've gained employment and life experience, bettered your English (if it needs it? I imaiinge not too much!) and you've earned some money.
Do it!

Go for it. Even if you hate the job you will experience living in another country and I would like a job offer like that!!

Regret things that you have done not things you havent!

I would be absolutely sure of the terms and conditons before you come. It's often minimum wage, long hours and the cost of living in London is really high.

You better try, if you don't do it you'll live thinking why didn't I do it? Nothing to lose, much to get.
