I did a project on how video games affect reaction time. In order to do this: measure at least 2 people's reaction times by having then catch a ruler (more directions online), then have them play video games for however long, then measure their reaction time again. It got me an award when i did it!
Hope this helps!

Well I did one on stalagmites and Stalagtites once that was pretty cool, just don't use quarters to hold down your strings lol. Stupid kid!!! I also did the difference between evolution and Creationism and each respective points and all that jazz. There is the ever classic volcano, or plants and using fertalizer vs no fertalizer, organic vs non organic, water with tea, etc. do research on Gentically modified foods and how they are used more often and how we don't know the effects yet because its so new. I mean there is tons of stuff to do that is intersting. You could go Mythbusters science project too. That would be fun.

oh, well mine this year was "phototropism"

grow two plants of the same species, one under a sunny window, the other in a shoebox. sit the shoebox on its side and cut a hole on the right panel of the box. inside the box, hotglue two cardboard slips, one on the top panel, one on bottom so you creat a maze. the finish point of the maze will be the hole.

put the plant in the shoebox in the left side and nurture both plants the same way-giving same amounts of water, sunlight, etc. put the lid on the shoebox. it'd work if you put a flashlight against the hole.

the idea is that the plant in the shoebox is gonna grow up and down in the maze to reach the light at the end.

hope that helps! i was very descriptive, but yah!

Put celery in water. Then put any color but green food dye in the water and let it sit for a while ( 24 hours). In the morning the celery will turn the color of the food dye.

i did one a few years back on testing clothing detergent.

i made multiple stains on two white t-shirts and wahsed them seperately with oxyclean and some brand x detergent. the results were pretty interesting. i like this because it gives you a lot of results to write about as well as conclusions ....i.e, this detergent cleaned this but not this...etc.

good luck, hope u get them both done soon!

For my science fair, my partner and I made our own lava lamps. We learned about various densities and we ended up making about 5 different ones. There should be websites on this.
