When people talk about a wireless network, they are referring to the connectionof there PC's to the internet router or modem. You can get either cable DSL, phone line DSL, satelite internet connection or dial up. The rest is all connections and equipment that is in your home network and is also used as gateways for multiple computers to get on the internet. Once you have your internet provider, then all you need to do is connect a wireless router to there modem, or get there modem that is a wireless modem. Connect your computers to it by running cat 5 cable or use a wireless card in each computer and connect to your modem with out the use of wires. That is basically it. Most service providers have wired and wireless modem/ routers you can buy with the plan. None of it is free. Good luck and hope this helped.

Internet sevice isn't free, thats why you see verizon/comcast commercials on tv every 2 minutes. It costs around 40-80 dollars a month for internet service (wired or wireless). After you buy your plan, you will need to purchase a wireless router.

If there is no service provider that will offer it, then you cannot get a wireless network, dial-up does not do that.

If you mean a home wireless network, no. You just need a broadband connection and a wireless broadband router.

Check out DSL providers for a wireless service plan.
Dial up is boring.
