this song came in the 90's, i remember it being played at the pool a lot.

anyway, its a woman singing, kinda soft rock, the girl sings the same melody through the whole song and the chorus just goes...
"do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do do" x2

and thats the chorus, there are no other words to the chorus besides that. it was a single so it was up there in the charts being played on all the radio stations so im sure everyones heard it before

but if you have any guesses to what it is please let me know, i just need some ideas of who sings it or the name of the song so i can look it up

Oddly enough, I think I know this. Sounds like "Tom's Diner" by Susanne Vega.

I'm not certain, because I've barely heard teh song, but it seems to fit under what you're saying from what I've heard of it...
