I'm asking to clarify the job hopper senario.

The first day isn't too soon if you are certain that the job isn't going to be a fit for you. I believe strongly that you should not stay in a job when you know it's not going to work out. I left my previous job after only 6 months, but I am so glad I did because then I found something that I really love.

the day you get the job because it keeps you fresh and a viable employee, that never seems to worry about loosing his or her job, hope this help, as for the job hopper if the employers was looking after his employees they would not leave a good health , friendly job setting

It's never too soon to leave a job if you have a good reason, but it might be pushing it to ask for a job reference the very first day.
