Two sides of the same coin so far as how men versus women in coping with break-ups and seperations. Rational guys hurt and heal, the irrational ones you read about in the newspaper or catch on the late evening news after they've done' something regrettably stupid. My uncle went thru a horrid break-up with this scrunchy and seemed depressed about it for a spell that is till we saw him with his new honey, a good woman by any measure unlke the trollip he had before, and he's never been happier nor has he looked back or tried to see the old scrunchy he dropped to the curb.

I find it hilarious that all these women are posting what men feel after a break-up. I will just speak for myself but I would feel ruined if my wife or girlfriend left. The reason so many women don't think men care is because we don't show our emotions in the same way as women. Men get guarded and defensive when we get hurt. At least I do.

When feelings are hurt it can always be worked through its easy to forgive things like that what is hard to work through is a man or women that has an affair not caring one bit about their wife or g/f, so you should talk about things and work through them.People are quick to say things without thinking and that is why people get so hurt they say things they don't mean and only say them out of anger..So its not as bad as it seems just kiss and make up it will be ok.

From a woman's point of view I don't think men go through the same emotions as women. My husband and I separated last week. For him, it was like a mini vacation. For me, I still had to care for the children and home. My husband came home after a week and acted as if there was never a problem.

It generally and ideally depends on the man. But I understand what you are getting at. No, men don't feel the degree of separation anxiety that women, who are so emotional, feel. Men think they have to be tougher and in so very many ways they are.

Contrary to popular belief, we men are humans too. We hurt, we cry, we feel loss, and experience pain, just like women do. In my case, I go into "machine mode" rather than let myself fall apart.....but I don't hurt ANY less than anybody else does. I just deal with it differently.

Yes men hurt! That is dumb. Well if he has feelings for you he is hurting. If he doesn't and has someone else he may just toss you away like an old shoe. The real question is who left whom?

Hopefully, I will never know. But I would probably eat a gallon of ice cream and watch the Gladiator over and over again. I might even order a pizza. Who knows....or maybe some barbeque.

I dont think they hurt like woman do, they don't have the same emotions, I think they think more about being alone and going out to find someone new and all the difficulties it will bring.
