If your bras feel tight, then it's either a strap adjustment issue or a size issue. The straps are too tight and pulling the cup too close to your body or you need a different size.
Wearing a different cup won't help; it'll make it worse because the bra won't offer proper support.
Go to Victoria's Secret or Nordstrom's for a professional fitting.
Here are links to 3 very good articles so you can check your current size and understand how bras are sized (it is not straightforward at all):

BTW, in addition to Lane Bryant - Bali makes good bras w/ specialized cups for different breast shapes. Women may have the same bra size but one might have narrowish breasts while the other may have rounder breasts.

I wear a 34D so I know how you feel. The best bras that I've found that aren't full coverage or grandma-ish are from Victoria's Secret and Gap. Try Body by Victoria (the Very Sexy and Angels collections usually run a size bigger than you really are) bras or recently I've tried the shaping t-shirt bra from Gap and think it's fantastic and it's also a little cheaper. If you do need a strapless bra, I'd go with the Very Sexy convertible that VS has. Good luck.

All I can tell you is that they have some awesome bras at Lane Bryant for bigger boobs. They have a bunch of different sizes, but I personally like the ones where the straps are removable and they have this plasic around the inside to it doesn't slip.

Nice size! You need good support, or gravity will demand it's price...the full coverage bras are the right idea, but if they feel that tight, they might simply be not the perfect size...you might wanna try a different brand for a better fit and if you like the look try the same one in your size, but also in a 34DD for example...

Wear a demi bra from victoria's secret
It'll make you look nice with enough support without feeling tight or making you look bigger.
If you want bigger, push up bra?
