Be honest about it. Are you scared of something real like your inevitable death (later rather than sooner hopefully) or are you afraid of something silly and irrational like the dark or Dale Winton?

Submarines. The noises, the smells and the feeling of claustrophobia had me terrified.
Never been so panic-stricken in my life.

Greed and people who don't have any empathy for others. Yes I am scared of the dark, because I find if its pitch black I start to see shapes forming. I am also scared of those freaky comic relief red ears that walkers are handing out, my daughter has some and I can't look at her with them on as it scares me too much!. Im also scared of tornados (even though I live in England), the sound of the war siren, and the sound of bombs dropping (very irrational fears I think!). Maybe Im just a bit over paronoid!

We all fear the unknown, both death and the dark represent the unknown in one way or another, we fear death because we do not know what lies after death. Being afraid of the dark is very similiar, just on a lower scale. Fear is a natural instinct, but I also believe fear is only in the mind.

Large revolving planets. Specifically the fact that the average density of Saturn is less than 1, so that if it were placed in a bath of water big enough (urrrggh) it would float.

I am absolutely petrified of spiders and wasps - I am like a wailing banshee if a wasp comes near me and as for spiders I freeze.
I have read about them to try and make myself like them but I think I need hypnosis because I actually start to shake if I get too close and my heart rate really speeds up

The weird thing that I'm scared of is Monster Munch crisps! It's really horrible and embarrasing, especially if someone walks in the room with a pack of them open - If they ever do that I have to leave the room really quickly.

My fear is irrational I know but it imposes the same feelings as death or nuclear holocaust. I am in paralyzing fear of the well known and oh so common*ROACH.!!!
*Big ones, little ones, baby ones and even dead ones. Did you know a ROACH can reach speeds of a 100 mph? Did you also know I can reach speeds of 110 mph . . .
