Hi, I have 512MB, 533 MHz, 240-pin ddr2 memory, and I'm going to buy another one 1GB, 667 MHz, 240-pin ddr2 (the same brand), So my question is if those two RAMs are going to work together, are they compatible? I'm asking because they have different speeds!
Thanks

The RAM modules will work with each other, but the question is if your motherboard will work with the 2nd one. Try going through documentation or the website of you PC/Motherboard to see what the maximum speed it accepts is. If it's 533, then 667 won't work, if it's 667 or more, they'll work, but they'll both show up as 533.
There's many different setups that you can have, with 2,3 or 4 slots, you can have single channel or dual-channel memory, try to update your question with some PC information for better help.
If you don't have documentation go to:
http://www.4allmemory.com/index.cfm?pid=313&kwd=memory%20upgrade
And click "Check my system" It will tell you what you have and what you can use (Well, it'll offer to sell them to you, but the info part is good).

========= =========== ===========
Edit:
Your motherboard does not support dual-channel and only has two slots, the maximum memory is 2 GB. When you install them, put the bigger one in DIMM slot 0 and the smaller one in DIMM slot 1. They'll both work at 533 MHZ and it won't bother your computer. It's not as fast as having two 667s, but it won't hurt it either.

Even if it does work its a bad idea

your system will do one of the following
not boot
be unstable
work (the 667 module will run at the slower speed)

You should but a module matching the other one exactly or if your computer supports the faster speed get two new modules and get rid of the old one.

That random series of numbers doesnt tell me something. what form of RAM is it? DDR3? DDR2? what's the bus speed? 800Mhz? 1066? 1333? 1600? Edit: Any motherboard that helps DDR3 RAM may help those (P61,Z67,Z68,Z77 etc)

depends on ur entire ram setup and whether or not ur computers memory is dual channel or not, as well as whether or not those two types of ram are the same ecc wise, and what the first person said
