I'm looking to turn a photograph into a picture much like these:

I've tried several filters, blending modes, and sketching methods in photoshop, but I still have yet to find something that comes close to the vintage look that I'm searching for. I realize that all of these older posters and advertisements were hand drawn, but I'm not much of an artist, and I figure there must be a way to get the same effect on photoshop. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated -- thanks!

the finest technique is to Desaturate for the B&W outcome -> Open up Hue / saturation -> pick Colorize -> elect a reddish/orange tone. Play with intensity. in spite of the undeniable fact that, photoshop does have a default action already outfitted that creates teh sepia outcome.
