I'm looking to get my own apartment down in Virginia (Possibly with a roommate. Apartments down here are expensive!). My problem is, though, that I'm still a college student, and I don't have a whole lot of job experience.

Are there jobs out there that will hire an inexperienced student such as myself, while at the same time, providing me with enough money to pay the bills?

I'm currently in Arlington, in the Ballston area. :3

As far as security work goes.... I kinda had to laugh at the suggestion. Not because I'm mean, or think that it was a silly suggestion, but because I'm so short. I can see me trying to subdue some unruly punk twice my size. :D

Check out local law firms. The pay is out of this world compared to other offices. Often they have openings not requiring experience. If you are cheerful and a quick learner (and avoid the office grumblers), you will rise quickly. If you are customer-service oriented, and able to manage the egos/arrogance of attorneys with humor and grace, all the better. The fancy lobbies and artwork can be intimidating, but rest assured it is just another office, but with Starbucks in the coffee makers...and more money in your pocket. You may even find your roommate at the office. If there is one thing attorneys worship, it's education, so they always appreciate young fresh faces that are in college.

Howdy,
Are there any call centers in your area? They love college students. Pay varies from $9 to $11.30/ hour. They also train you for 3-4 weeks before turning you loose to go solo. There also is plenty of support from other employees. They often have 2-3 shifts daily and you tell them when you are available. Best regards!

Trying getting a job as a security officer. They may put you in a location where you can study and go to school outside of work.

I don't know what the going pay for Security officers in your area. But if you look around there you might find companies that pay well.

For not having job experience, they will train you for the work.

The simplest work at home job is answering phone calls for companies like WorkathomeAgent, Alpine Access, Liveops. To apply you will have to complete an online application form on the companies website. A list of companies with websites is available at http://www.pcworkathome.net/customerserviceworkfromhome.html
