I love V.C Andrews her books are great. I use to wouldnt want to sit and read a book to save my life then my homegirl gave me the book DAWN girl i read that book the whole series and was in awe. Then i saw she had like 8 more series and i read them all. Then she came out with Melody and Rain and they were good. To answer your question I think it is okay that a ghostwriter is still writing books in her name because her family is getting the money. Her name is a name that is gonna be recognized and famous but i can see if someone was stealing her shine and her money. Thats not the case her family is still getting paid and living good off her books. When your done reading V.C Andrews try Dean Koontz you might like them too!

I think that it's fine - as long as a percentage of the proceeds are going to Andrews family - or in to a fund to help future aspiring writers. And I really don't think that the ghost writer could be doing this with out written consent which was either obtained by Andrews herself before her death or through any heirs that she left behind. So, no worries, I'm sure Andrews made provisions before her death.

As an FYI for those who aren't clear, V.C. Andrews is actually considered a BRAND. The use of her name is licensed by her estate to carry on her work. VC Andrews is a registered trademark (you can check it out at the U.S. Trademark office). Those writers who write under the name are engaged in a practice known as work-for-hire, in which the writer is paid a fee to produce work for a third party. To quote Dr. Laura, there is nothing "illegal, immoral, or fattening" about what is going on.

I loved her books also. I stopped reading her books that weren't hers after she died. Even though they seemed the same I just didn't like the books from a ghost writer. But I guess that it is ok as long they stay true to the author.

IT is right. What is it. You mean the ghost writer? It is fine with me as long as that is made known. I read one of VCs books and had had my fill.

No, i don't think its right. if the person was alive, that wouldn't be legal. The thing you can do is to not buy or read this 'ghost writers' stuff.
if there is no money from sales, then they don't write anymore.
good luck

It might be someone who is related to her that is writing the books and keeping her name as the author in remembrance of her legacy. But I would think that they would have also added their name as the author as well.

Not a huge VC Andrews fan, but anyone who profits off someone elses idea IMHO is a fraud.
