I am like you...isnt it unfair that we have acne and wrinkles at the same time? Retin A has been a miracle worker for both things though! The cons are that its very drying and you do have to constantly wear a very high SPF on your face. The pros are smooth clear skin and no more fine lines! Its a bit expensive but well worth it in my opinion.

I use Retin-A at the moment. It worked wonders on my acne and made the scarring I had reduce DRAMATICALLY.

I really like it and I don't break out alot anymore. I mean, now I get a zit here and there but nothing too serious.

I don't know if it combats fine wrinkles but I would deffinatly recommend it for acne!

You can always get a different cream for fine wrinkles and use Retin-A for acne. But I would ask my dermatologist just because Retin-A makes your skin a little sensative.

Good luck!

I started using Retin-A in my thirties because I had adult acne. It worked on the acne and made my skin smoother.

My skin is sensitive so I used it every other night. Be sure to use a sunscreen during the day because Retin-A makes skin more vulnerable to sun damage.

Also, use a mild face wash if you experience dryness. I like to use Aveeno Daily Radiance Cleansing Pads alternately w/ Clarins for combination skin, Cetaphil or Dove for sensitive skin. The Aveeno pads have a smooth side and a texturized side, start w/ the smooth side until your face adjusts to the Retin-A.

I often refer to www.cosmeticscop.com for information.

Try this for acne:

Accutane-an antibiotic and Ziana- a new acne gel. See your dermotologist. Also wash face with cool or cold water, never hot. And never use scrubs or toners, they aggravate acne. Use a mild cleanser and mositurizer like Cetaphil.
If you want to try an anti-aging acne system, try Patricia Wexler MD acne line at Bath & Body. Its costs $50.00 for the starter kit, but you can return it if you dont like it. I love her products.

Retin A does work, but dries skin out- make sure to moisturize.

Best Wishes

Yes, it works, but it peels of the layers of your upper skin with Vit A acid, so that the new skin grows all fresh and silky. You will want to use a relatively high concentration for a good result, but that is on prescription only; so you should consult a dermatologist. You will have need to protect your skin with min 30 SPF SUNSCREEN for weeks, or your new wonderful baby skin will burn and scar !!! I keep my fingers crossed...

Research the side effects of Retin-A. It can cause problems. Some people's hair goes gray from using it.

yup i have it works on acne, but is a very strong medication you should preferably consult a dermatologist before use, it does not help wrinkles though it is only for acne and blemishes. It over dries your skin so be careful!
