first of all, i praise you for wanting to start a band like Green Day, because that's what i'm wanting to do now. i'm not too sure how to help you b/c im in the same rut as you. just write some good catchy songs, and get some bandmates that you wont regret spending alot of time with.
fame may come, it may not. there are many "Garage Bands" who never make it big, but just enjoy playing for music's sake. IDK yet, it's not like i have a good voice, or can even play my bass (except for she's a rebel and st.jimmy). but maybe u do have those qualities, and then u just need a good kick in the as s.

As far as I know, my favorite rock stars don't go into the music business hoping to be big famous rock stars. The rock stars that are famous for their music are famous because they have such a love for the music and the people they're helping when they make the music. If you really want to be a rock star, it should be because you have a love for music and because you know that you couldn't live doing anything else besides making music for people. That's what real rock stars are in it for.

the point is this: being a musician is a combination of really hard work, knowing a lot of people, talent, and luck. there are no guarantees. you're obviously young and naive, but it's important that you realize this: those that make a living as musicians are part of a very small, very fortunate group of people. and they do it because they love music, not because they aspire to be famous. fame is just something that happens to you if you're lucky.

As i've always said, your media image is as important as your music! To catch an agents eye, you really need to do outrageous stuff and play some good music during gigs.

You're image as a rockstar is like the rockstar music you play,the music you play make people jump, the music you play should make YOU jump! Crown love seeing their idols go crazy round stage!

Nowadays,a good band name is ALSO VITAL! You're clothes are like the lyrics, as people loose in to your lovely lyrics, the girls/boys should also loose it to your clothes and just love them!
