How the f**k do i create a wireless network to share files and printers between pc's?

Ive done this crap before a few months ago and no I can't. Dont know what im doing wrong. Someone help.

Anybody offended with my use of words, please dont respond. Im a little frustrated so it isnt being directed towards you.

Second, you simply need to share the files on the drive that you want shared. Right click on the file, select the sharing tab, then click on share. You have to share from the top level file because a file inside of a private folder cannot be shared.

In the main computer where the printer is installed, just go to the Printer folder inside of Control Panel. Right click your All in one printer and then Click Sharing. Click on Share this printer in the window that opens and then hit OK.

Get the IP address of your computer, go to Start, Run, type "cmd" enter, type "ipconfig" enter. Write down where it says "Local Area Connection" IP address: "numbers with dots". After this, move to the computer without a printer.

In the other computer, go to Start, Run, type "\\ipaddress\" where ipaddress are the numbers of the 1st computer. When a windows opens asking for a user name and password input those credentials from your computer. If it doesn't ask it will be even better. Now with this command you will open a folder and the printer will be there. Double click the printer and now the 2nd computer will be able to use it.

BTW, both computers have to be in the same WORKGROUP. to check this: Right click My Computer icon on the desktop, go to properties, Computer name tab. There you can see the WORKGROUP name and even change it.

2) Plug the cable modem or DSL line into the special port on the back of the router.

3) Make sure the PCs are either plugged into it or connected via wireless.

4) Test all the connections to make sure everything is working and you can get to google from all computers.

5) Go to the computer that has the printers and files on it that you want to share. Go to Start -> Printers and faxes.

6) Right click on the printer you want to share and click "Sharing"... set it up to be shared. Remember the name, and the "computer name" of the computer you are on.

7) Go to the files that you want to share, and right click on the folder they are in and go to sharing. Easy.

8) Go to the other comp, go to start -> printers -> add new printer. Choose "network printer or printer attached to another computer". Type in computername/nameofprinter and next through.

9) when you want to access the files on that other computer, the quickest way to get to it is to go to \\computername and browse from there, you can make a shortcut to this, too, on your desktop if you want, or even "map network drive" from the menu on "My Computer"

If you followed all of these steps correctly, making sure that each part works, it will do what you want.

Hey! I'm no expert, but first I think you'll need to subscribe to a wireless ISP service. Relevant? No? Wireless LAN equipment comes with manuals right? Connect everything the right way with your wireless router. Printers are still linked with wires to your pc's I believe. Connected properly, your LAN can be accessed by wireless equipment (Laptops).
