I'm looking for monthly short interest data for ALL stocks traded on U.S. exchanges. Previously, Reuters would have this data through PowerScreener or AAII's Stock Investor Pro. However, Reuters has discontinued it.

So, it looks like I can only get it direct from the exchanges for $100s/month or from shortsqueeze.com for $30/month. I'm not used to paying that much for short-interest data. Is there anywhere else I can get it?

Please remember that I am not looking for short interest data where I have to type into a form each individual ticker at one time.

Thanks!!!

I'm not sure offhand where to get total short interest other than trying the actual exchanges who probably track that.

However, if you want to use a proxy to gauge market sentiment, you can go to 888options.com and sign up for a variety of daily/weekly reports including activity on calls/puts.

Here's a sampling of part of one report.

Hope that helps!
