Its caused by new stiff leather rubbing against itself producing a loud squeek that can drive you NUTS.... recommend Carr, Day & Martin Leather Conditioner NUMBER TWO - this is a tack product normally used for leatherware..saddles etc - its fan-tastic. It says : softens, preserves & conditions - leaves a shiny protective barrier - non greasy - easy to use -

You just spray it on your shoes and *especially in the area your squeeking from* - rub it in and then when its dry buff to a shine and thats it :) . 500ml / 1/2 litre can be purchased from any horse tack shop or easiest - ebay. Only one persons selling it on ebay and its cheap - here is a link - goodluck

undesirable Odour resulted from the mildew-ingesting micro organism on your shoes. shop them dry and constantly substitute new pair of socks. Powdered the indoors sole to maintain moisture low. Do you have any athlete's foot (ft that sweat excessively), see a doctor.

either you stepped on something wet, or the shoes are very old. so either dry them off, step in something like dirt, or send them to good will (or throw them out) and get new shoes
