It depends on where the port is. A USB port is just a small rectangular hole. It will have a picture that looks like this

Most desktops will have 2-4 ports - some on front, some on back.
Laptops similar arrangement, look on the right side near the rear of the machine.
I take it you do not have a USB mouse??

There should be a little slot that looks like this: http://www2.hawaii.edu/~hermany/USB-PORT.jpg. You might have one on the front of your computer, but you most definitely have at least one on the back of your computer. They're usually lined up together.

That shows the back of a computer. 'E' is two USB together. You can put it in either the front or the back, doesn't matter

For units like the Monitor or USB Meece ( Mice) it is usually in the back

just click on the "safely remove hardware" sign in the lower right corner of your computer screen (it has sumthin with green arrow). and then klik ur usb port... usb port located could be in the back or front or both of the computer
