I am always child that keeps my cool, but lately I've been getting very depressed, I have a lack of sleep and appetite and my grades at school are slipping. My parents fight continuously and I am always stuck in the middle. They say they wont get divorced because my brother is too young to deal with it.

Talk it out with one of your school counselors. It's a tough situation to be in and it really isn't fair at all to you. While I'm not an advocate of divorce, I doubt they are doing any good for your brother by fighting all time. I truly hope things work out for you and your family. Peace.

Very difficult to answer. How old are you? When I was small, my parents fought all of the time. We hated it and we hated my father. I turned to my friends parents believe it or not. They helped me alot. I even had a teacher in school who helped me alot. I also had my Godfather who was always there for . Try a school counselor or a grand parent. Dont give up on school work. You will want the good grades to hopefully get out of the house as soon as you can and go to college or get a job. Trust me, I came from a very violent hateful home, things do get better with time and age. Just make the most of it and find someone to talk to. Good luck to you.

Unfortunate as it may seem life changes at times most inconveniently and against our desires and wishes. Like a boat sinking in the ocean, you must be the one who can swim and keep your eye out for dry land where you can recuperate and pull your life back together. Sometimes we can not stop what others do and that only leaves one with the choice of going down with them or not. You must decide. Will you let that effect you negatively or see it as another challenge among the many you will have to face and overcome?

You need to explain to your parents that they are not making it any easier on you or your brother by staying together. Tell them how their fighting is effecting you and your school work. I know that no child wants their parents to split up, but it sounds like that is going to be the only way to save your mind. Be honest with them and explain how you feel. Thank you and good luck.

I know exactly how you feel, i just dont have any siblings. But you are strong for keeping your cool this whole time, and that is great because that helps you and your lil bro. but what are your hobbies? try painting or getting more into music to keep your mind off things. as for grades, just try to keep yourself focused, because slipping grades wont help at home, trust me haha. what grade are you in? as for the sleep and appetite part, im still working on that, its a little harder to fix, but hang out with friends more, keep yourself busy during the day and that should hopefully raise your appitite and maybe help you sleep. hope it helps!

one fails to keep their cool by being intollarant. so if you try to tollorate more then you should be able to shrug it off.

but to get closer to your family you realy should spend more time together and all must not have the intent on destroying the family or improvement will not occur. i have an idea that has the potential of helping with improvement. give them a nice loving hug telling them that you love them both and you want them to reach some nutral ground or you will be torn apart. if they love you their reaction should have sympothy in it.
everyone must tollorate to have a good relationship. its like an electronic circut. all things must be in place for it to work or it simply will not work.
