The same old boring Olympic melodrama, will the host city be ready, blah blah blah. This is the same old story trotted out time and time again. Its only to draw attention away from the fact that we wont be winning any medals because all our 12 year olds weigh 15 stone.
Why not go down to Ladbrookes and see if they are taking any bets on London not being ready, and if they give you any odds make a bet.
It wouldn't be the end of the world if the stadium isn't finished, half the events take place in a sand pit anyway, and most throwing events could be held in a pub car park, on a Friday night just after closing time ( isn't this how the Olympics started off folks) ? The steeple chase could incorporate digging equipment and the aquatic events could be held in freshwater ponds. Sorted, what a waste of 12 billion quid, should have asked me first.

Things looking bleak is very sadly a common theme with the Olympics and past events. The 2004 Olympics in Athens was even farther behind schedule but as it got closer and closer to date things came together. I think we're clear not to start worrying unless its 2010 and we're still at this point, but they'll get going.

I was surprised Athens got it together. Hopefully London will do it, too. I'm actually more concerned about South Africa and the World Cup in 2010.

i think of that's superb. remarkable, angular (no longer jagged) and with a real suggestion of stream approximately it - the 1st '2' sounds like a sprinter on their blocks and the 2d jogs my memory of a diver interior the tuck place. in case you seem on the process all of the numbers, they're shifting forward. London is a remarkable, angular and consistently shifting city and the emblem reflects this. the certainty that it attracts human beings from international the two to pass to and to stay is something I, in my opinion, am happy with, and that i do no longer even stay there myself. we are able to in straight forward terms desire that the Olympics is purely as remarkable - that's going to somewhat have many aspects to it and the entire ethos of the form has stream at its very middle. i do no longer somewhat care if some retired athletes reckon the domicile united states of america won't do o.k.. I do care relating to the form itself being something for persons to relish and all this whining is purely boring and predictable. that's no longer relating to the triumphing that's the engaging, stunning? properly no, somewhat, it kind of feels that the Olympics 2012 isn't relating to the triumphing however the taking aside. all of the criticism is counter-efficient and we'd desire to constantly be waiting to choose for ourselves, no longer now, yet in some years' time. provide up complaining and have fun an adventure that unites human beings. I very very like the certainty that it reads as twenty-twelve rather than 2-thousand-and-twelve - the former is quicker, geddit? - and the certainty that it appears that evidently equivalent to the writing on the Arctic Monkey's recent album is yet another plus - the Olympics are approximately expressing your self and that's what they do by way of song. What do the whiners desire? A Union Jack with a bulldog's face on?
