Sometimes my dreams resemble reality quite a bit, but often my dreams are very, very strange. Things change shape, places appear and disappear. They're kind of like "fun houses" or entire cities with strange lights on the floor, architecture that would be impossible, many people falling through the floor, various tunnels, very bouncy grass and strange textures. A few nights ago, there were these long strips of colored grass and I would slide on them, and they lit up, giving me some kind of score. If I touched the edge I thought I would be electrocuted, but when I touched it, nothing happened. And the whole time I was trying to make it to some kind of destination, but really the whole dream was about wandering around this strange place.

No, I don't do acid or drugs. I'm not looking for interpetations, but just curious: Do other people have such dreams, or are they generally just an unlikely twist on a plausible reality? Is the world in your dreams completely unrecognizable?

Ok, forst i want to say that i am only 14, so do not realy on me! But here is my view:
Dreams are the subconcious part of your mind that is at work while you are asleep. The pictures you see in your mind are based on things you have seen and know. For example, people who were born blind do not have dreams, as they have no pictures to conjure up in their minds.
However, strange things DO happen in your dreams. I think that dreams ARE based around what you think about before you get to sleep, even if you are just subconciously thinking about them.
But things (in my dreams) happen such as people suddenly turning to someone else, you are in lands made of marshmellows, and you know someone is called something, eg martin, but they are in you teacher mr jenkins body!!!
These are just creative little things as a way of putting your thoughts together.
Ok i dont think that really helped, but that is what i think!
Oh, and dreams could be based, such as the one you referred to, on things that you want to hapen. Is their some kind of destination or aim you are trying to reach at the moment? Even if it is just a deadline for work.
In conclusion, we have no control over dreams (although it is said that you should not eat dark choc before bed as it gives you bad dreams) and how do we know what is classed as a nightmare, and what is a bad dream???

The locations in my dreams are always places from my childhood, mostly my dad's farm. You can tell me why, I guess.
