Easiest way is to use itunes. select the songs in a playlist or cd, then move to the ipod.

Put the Cd into your computer, go into media player or any other music player you have on your computer, then hit rip, or copy cd to computer, then from there you put them onto your itune and then hook you nano up to the computer with the wire it came with, and then hit where ever it says something on the lines of "copy music to ipod"

you have to copy them back on to your computer in itunes then itunes will do the rest for you.
