it isn't,except to extremists, which wouldn't include all libs. i agree with better male birth control. i have a form of it,but it is permanant. sex is a mutual decision,in most cases, the birth control should be too. i

Liberals do not equal no birth control at all, I have never heard a one who doesn't think a comprehensive sex education and access to affordable birth control is a bad thing.
People see Planned Parenthood as just an abortion factory, but I can guarantee you that they dispense a lot more birth control pills/patches etc. than they do abortions...and they are great for people without insurance. (and even though you may not like these people, I bet you like these people not having babies they can't afford even more)
I completely agree with you on this one, and yes a male birth control pill would be great.

I'm not really sure what to say to that. I never thought very many people had a problem with birth control other than for religious reasons.
Personally, I'm quite for it. People are going to have sex, and even if they're monogamous, babies happen as a result of sex. Gasp. Who knew? Now, since most of us don't want a baby every time we have sex, perhaps birth control is a good thing.
A male birth control pill would be a good idea, although if you don't trust that women are on the pill, there's always condoms. Allergic to latex? Sheepskin condoms work just fine against pregnancy, but not against STDs.
Yeah, birth control is a good thing. Just think of the resentment a poor little "accident" would have to face growing up.

Birth control is not a bad idea at all. Look at the population in China. They are allowed only 1 child. Why does someone need a ton of kids anyway? There was a program on TV where some couple, youngish couple, had 16 kids and she was pregnant again. Three sets of twins. At least there was only one father and they weren't on welfare and were able to take care of them, but come on now. In the past people had a lot of kids because not a lot made it into adulthood. Over population is going to be a big factor in years to come. You think there are a lot of starving people in the world now, just wait and see if the population continues to explode. Maybe if people in Biafra and places like that were put on birth control, the little kids wouldn't be dying and starving like they are. What's worse, not having the kids or having them and watching them die?
Women who trick men into getting them pregnant are low. They should not be allowed to collect child support as far as I'm concerned. If the man does not want a child and she lies and says she's on birth control but is not and gets pregnant, it is her responsibility, not his. If he doesn't want the child then he should not be made to take responsibiltiy for it - in that instance of course.

When I attended Catholic catechism classes because I went to a public high school, I asked my teacher, "What about the poor people who continue to have children that they can't afford to raise. Shouldn't they be allowed to use birth control?" Her answer was, "God will not give a person more than they can handle. And there's always adoption". I freaked! I said that I would not be a baby-factory to just pop out children for other people! I don't thinl I ever went back to catechism classes after that.
But, I really don't think either side has a problem w/birth control in their own lives. The question is: Should it be provided to juveniles? Should it be provided without parental consent? Many think that if you make bc available to young people that is tantemount to giving permission to have sex. (They all seem to have forgotten the urges that surge thru' the adolescent body...)
What is needed is good parenting, open communication, no condemnation, and available birth control. Too mature a concept for most, I'm afraid.

Where did you get the idea that Liberals think birth control is bad? I and most of the Liberals I know are all for it. Although most parents hope they have raised their children with common sense, teens tend to think with their hormones, birth control is an excellent idea and I do not believe it promotes promiscuity. It does have health risks though, so not all women and girls can use it. As for the male pill, I agree with you on that too, there would be alot less dead beat dads who would say "she lied about being on birth control".

Birth control is necessary and I don't know many people, liberal or conservative, who disagrees with that. It's not a party issue.
Women will be celebrating when men can finally take birth control pills. It's been a long time coming.

birth Control isnt a bad thing its wonderful!! Paired with condoms and your pretty safe. Abstinence is the best birth control, but come on now, now a days how many people pracitce that. If you feel you're grown enough to have sex, then at least be prepared, because even though Im 24, I know I'm not ready for no kid, so I take precautions because I"m not willing to give up my sex life.

Birth control is not a bad thing at all, it's a wonderful thing.
It's only the right wing religious nut-jobs who are against it.
What makes you think liberals are?
No woman in her right mind would trust men to consistently use birth control -- even if they could find one that worked on men (since men continually produce more sperm, it's not easy to some up with one).

I've never thought that birth control was a bad thing. Of course I'm not a Liberal or Extreme right winger so I guess I don't fit your criteria.

Who said birth control is a bad thing? It's a person's right to choose if and when they have a child. I myself am high risk and can't have anymore children. I'm too chicken to have surgery (so is my husband). This is the perfect choice for us. You may not have a pill yet, but you do have other choices.
