Also, not only are they lacking those entertaining superstars, they're lacking an entertaining tag team division. Before last night, when's the last time we saw a LEGITIMATE tag team (Cryme Tyme, Cade and Murddock, etc.) in a televised match on Raw? I usually don't watch SmackDown, because A) I can't stand Michael Cole, B) They don't have it on TV at the gym, and C) Taker, Kane, Helms, and possibly Kennedy are the only ones I'd watch. But regardless, there isn't really a solid tag team division for the first time in ages. Since I started watching in the late 1980's, there was almost always a good tag team title match on every PPV, and the belts were on LEGITIMATE tag teams, not just two of the "top" guys on a show (I say "top" because HBK is a good competitor, and McMahon is just trying to put Cena over with him having two belts). Once they lost The Dudleys, Christian, and Jeff Hardy, it seems like they pretty much abandoned the tag division.

i agree, the WWe needs another Rock and Stone Cold, i mean John Cena, does not even compare to them, look at the main events for wrestle-mania nothing to get hyped up about, a old timer Shawn Michaels against the 2 move Cena thats a joke, the other a vein freak Batista against someone who is keeping WWE alive and he is now a old timer Undertaker, Raw, Smackdown, even ECW now three world champs in the same federation, WWE is turning into a circus for non talented wrestlers thoses guys cant even talk trash on the mic, unlike the old guys The Rock and Stone Cold made WWE, Cena and co are destroying it

You are absolutely right my friend. The new era of pro wrestling is the worst I've ever seen. The days of WCW vs the WWF was a high point for the entertainment business whereas now it is noting but trash. Poor writing and a champ with an identity crisis that can decide his race, rather he wants to rap or be a marine. It is completely awful and sad but true, the days that we enjoyed in wrestling are gone.

The thing is the brand extension COULD'VE been profitable.
What i think they should've done with the brand extension was they should've had the brands actually try to compete with each other. Make it seem that they really are separate entities.Instead of letting guys going to other brands with no repercussions, they should have had years of storylines involving feuding brands and their attempts to steal the talents and such.
Thats why i enjoyed the months leading to Survivor Series when it was Team Smackdown vs Team Raw. When there was loads of tension when the Smackdown team invaded RAW and stuff. Good stuff in my opinion.

I agree very much so!That's why that was called the attitude era,b/c every guy had a stand out attitude/persona!I think alot of it did have to do w/ the splitting of the brands,I hated that and still hate it to this day.People like the Undertaker, who is a big name and should be on more of a pedestal then he is today, but they need his name to keep Smack Down alive, and he winds up getting shitty deals! If McMahon wasn't so damn greedy and had to buy out the other businesses things wouldn't be a crappy as they are today!!

It all started when WCW was bought by WWE. Without a product to compete against for ratings every monday, the company had no insentive to make a high quality product. You may have noticed a pick up in the quality of ECW after WSX debuted. There is no doubt they had to work harder to make a better show so that they will get watched insteed of their competition.

i might say while all people started enjoying a gimmick. Bret Hart replaced into in certainty the only guy devoid of one. that's why each and all the Doinks, Skinners, Repo adult men, and Max Moons by no skill made it. Than it went up for the duration of the NWO/mindset era. yet while Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Saturn and Dean Malenko left WCW, each thing dropped dramatically. Russo replaced into positioned decrease back in place of work yet lost too plenty skills to deliver WCW out of the slum, WWF gained the rankings war an conquered WCW. devoid of opposition each thing slacked... and than they got here up with the 2d international call... sure, it has replaced plenty for the greater serious because of the fact the time of Hogan and Warrior.

You are so right! Now if Vince could pickup contracts of remaining members of DX and go back to DX having a cause"let our people go," oh boy. Suppose people were led to believe that DX actually rescued past members by staking out TNA events! And yes, we need more bonafide tag teams and stables and guys like the Barber, Doink, etc.
