Perhaps production of lizard repellant is on their way.
Have you ever considered the fact that lizards consume insects that cause more nuisance and harm to humans than them?
They are a part of our eco-system. They are not toxic. Please be kind to them. Just make nice stories to your children to keep them unafraid of lizards.

Why would you want to repel lizards??

Geckos are superlative bug hunters, and will eat a wide variety of pests like cockroaches, and carpet beetles. They're even better than having spiders around.

And it's unlikely that any single product or chemical would work on all lizards. They're a pretty diverse group, and what might work on one might not work on another.

Plus, anything that would repel a lizard could also have the potential of deterring people. Any kind of scent or device that would drive away large, terrestrial lizards that mostly hunt by sight would have to be pretty powerful, and would probably not be too pleasant for us to be around either.

I don't understand why anyone would want to deter lizards, especially Geckos at all. They are harmless, and do us a great service by consuming large quantities of insects. They are quite fascintating to watch. Don't deter them....enjoy them!
