To "pwn" is a tongue-in-cheek misspelling of "own", which itself means a complete domination in gaming competition.

RTS stands for Real-Time Strategy, games like Starcraft or Command and Conquer. They're based on resource-gathering, proper timing of attacking the enemy army, and using the right units to so do.

MMO is "Massively Multiplayer Online", which can be many types of games these days. Massively Multiplayer games are considered those with 100+ players in one virtual, persistent world. Think World of Warcraft or Everquest.

Hope this helps you out.

PWN is kiddy talk for someone that has some major issues and wants to try to tout his "leet skillz" because he apparently needs validation. Or, in other words, someone is better than someone else or claims to be because he "pwned" them. It's, again, kiddy talk that technically means nothing.

RTS is actually a genre of games (real time simulation). Games that lack any kind of pausing-while-planning mechanism where you control armies or the actions of strategic units are a good example of a RTS genre game.

MMO describes the ability of a game to be played online with many other people at the same time (Massive Multiplayer Online) usually this acronym is followed by the other descriptor for the game such as RPG (role playing game) or RTS (see above) or maybe shooter.

Hope that helps!
